The Center for Proper Housing of Poultry and Rabbits (ZTHZ), a joint venture between the University of Bern and the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office, focuses on all aspects of housing and welfare for commercial poultry and rabbit production. Our work is applied in terms of its ultimate objective, though we have a strong focus on understanding the basic mechanisms to drive the search for practical solutions.
