I completed my bachelor's degree at the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada) in agriculture science in 2021. Continuing at the University of Guelph, I began my master`s degree with the Centre for Genetic Improvement of Livestock, Department of Animal Biosciences, where I investigated feed efficiency in dairy calves. Under the supervision of Dr. Christine Baes my project looked at estimating the genetic parameters for residual metabolizable energy intake in preweaning Holstein calves, which I completed in 2023. I began my PhD at the University of Bern in 2024 under the supervision of Dr. Michael Toscano and Dr. Christine Baes, where I will be investigating the genetics of behavior traits for laying hens housed in aviary systems.
